Statement of Investment Policy and Objectives (SIPO)
Overview
1.1 Purpose
This SIPO has been prepared by the Trustees to provide investment objectives and strategy. It takes into account of the requirements of the Deed establishing the Trust 12 May 2022.
1.2 Investor Objective
To maximise investment returns at an acceptable level of risk as determined by the Trustees.
1.3 Investment Assets
The investment assets comprise funds received or raised by the Trustees to benefit Cambridge Riding for Disabled per clause 3.1 of the Deed.
1.4 Investment Time Horizon
The investment horizon is a minimum of 5 years to allow for periods of market volatility that may impact capital or income of the portfolio
1.5 Risk Tolerances
The portfolio will have an almost equal focus on Growth and Income over time. This may give “negative year” risk of about 1 in 7.
Role of the Investor
2.1 The Trustees shall
2.1.1
Determine that a “Balanced” approach of 60/40 Growth/Income assets is appropriate for the investment.
2.1.2
Determine any guidelines for the investment of the portfolio, within the constraints of the Deed.
2.1.3
Establish criteria for the measurement of the investment performance of the portfolio (if any)
2.1.4
Review this ISPO annually or as required.
